Samples can be stored in various compartment sizes at temperatures ranging from -20\u00b0C to +20\u00b0C. The necessary cooling was initially achieved using standard units. However, these units never fully met Hamilton Storage&#8217;s stringent requirements regarding cooling capacity, footprint, installation space, accessibility, and integrability. Therefore, we were commissioned to develop a dedicated cooling unit.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<!--  .col-6@md -->\n\n\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"col-6@md\">\n\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<h4>The challenge<\/h4>\n<p class=\"\">For the successful implementation of the new plant, we had to consider, among other things, the following criteria:<\/p>\n<ul data-rte-list=\"default\">\n<li>\n<p class=\"\">Very small footprint with high cooling performance<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p class=\"\">Existing structures and space conditions<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p class=\"\">Scalable over a wide cooling capacity range<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<!--  .col-6@md -->\n\n\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"col-12\">\n\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<h4>The result<\/h4>\n<p class=\"\">Together with our client, we reviewed the existing concepts and designs of condensing units. It became clear that while a small footprint is highly valued, the unit&#8217;s height is of secondary importance. Thus, the unit&#8217;s height\u2014and therefore its form factor\u2014became the degree of freedom we needed to meet the performance requirements.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">And not only that: The unit&#8217;s footprint was halved compared to the initial requirements and optimized for the end customer. The airflow was optimized so that installing multiple units directly next to each other has no negative impact on cooling performance. Furthermore, the new design allowed the compressor to be mounted with complete sound insulation, which has a positive effect on noise emissions.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">With these and other improvements, Hamilton Storage offers its customers real added value.
