Our customers do not sell refrigeration units, but complex, high-quality products that fulfill their function with the help of refrigeration technology. When developing new products, refrigeration technology should not be a necessary evil or “a millstone around the product’s neck,” but rather an integral part of the device that enables new product innovations.

Whatever we come up with, we always keep the big picture in mind. And we only go as far as we can morally justify – for people, the environment, and the future.

The story behind

Leaning casually against a doorframe, beer in hand, in the middle of an inspired exchange of ideas – this is exactly how and where the idea for ThermodynamX was born. But let’s start at the beginning:

Bernhard Vetsch is studying engineering at the University of Applied Sciences Buchs (NTB). His bachelor’s degree is followed by a consecutive master’s degree (MSE) and scientific work at the Institute for Energy Systems. After graduating, he works on various development projects with a wide range of industrial partners at NTB and Purdue University (USA).

Then, at a Christmas event in 2015, the idea for his own company was born. Influenced by experience, full of ideas and drive, the decision was made: the foundation for ThermodynamX was laid. The company was founded in the summer of 2016.
